Our speech therapist works with patients of all ages to develop or regain speech, language, voice, fluency and swallowing skills.
Speech therapists can treat the following:
1. Dysphagia/Swallowing
- Facilitate oral motor strength for safe eating/swallowing
- Determine least restrictive diet texture/liquid consistency
- Conduct modified barium swallow studies
2. Tracheotomy Management
3. Speech and Language
- Expressive/receptive language deficits
- Reading/writing deficits
- Visual neglect as it pertains to writing skills
- language/cognitive language skills
4. Voice
5. Executive Functions/Cognitive Language
- Problem solving
