Meet our Weight-Loss Surgery Team
Guillermo Higa, M.D.
Minimally Invasive Bariatric and
General Surgeon
Dr. Higa received his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba in Cordoba, Argentina. He then completed 12 years of advanced medical training in the United States.
He completed a general surgery internship at New York Hospital Queens, a residency in general surgery at the University of Arizona, a research fellowship, as well as a surgery fellowship both in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. .
Dr. Higa is a fellowship-trained surgeon and performs both the LAP-BAND procedure and the Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass (Roux-en-Y).
Dr. Higa lives with his wife in McMinnville and enjoys soccer, tennis, golf, and the Spanish guitar.
