As a part of our commitment to meet the unique healthcare needs of our patients, Chaplains are available to offer guidance and spiritual support with respect for religious and spiritual preferences.

Currently there is a Lead Chaplain with regular hours and a number of volunteer chaplains from various spiritual communities who respond to emergencies 24/7. We also have an on-site chapel open 24 hours a day for prayer or quiet reflection.

How to contact the Chaplain:

• From outside the hospital, dial 503.472.6131 ext. 8399
• During the day from the hospital, dial extension 8399 or ask your nurse to contact the Chaplain.
• For emergencies, call the information desk at 8337.
• Chaplain office hours are 7:30 a.m. -to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Emergency requests for a chaplain can be made at any time.

Chaplains are respectful of patient confidentiality and follow the guidelines of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regarding privacy of patient information.
