Board Certified Internist & Nephrologist Fareha Nawaz, MD, has joined the staff of Willamette Valley Medical Center at Willamette Valley Nephrology. Nawaz completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tenn. She is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation and has co-authored and published research abstracts and medical case studies. She has extensive volunteer experience with organizations to raise awareness of the importance of kidney health. Rosemari Davis, the hospital's Chief Executive Officer, said she is pleased to welcome Nawaz to the staff. “We are honored to welcome Dr. Nawaz to our high quality medical staff in Internal Medicine and Nephrology,” she said. “Not only will her experience be a comfort for our patients, but her volunteer work will send the message that she cares about the community.” Outside of her professional career, Nawaz is an avid reader, painter and practices pilates and yoga regularly.
