Scholarships to provide caring, well-trained nurses.
To ensure a talented pool of well-trained healthcare workers, Willamette Valley Medical Center contributed more than $124,000 over three years to implement an aggressive scholarship program to help defray student costs and fund healthcare faculty.
Donations were made to: a nursing scholarship endowment fund, individual scholarships to nursing students and high school graduates pursuing healthcare careers, and a fund that provided two healthcare faculty positions at Chemeketa Community College.
In addition, the hospital participated in the Nursing Shortage Demonstration Project designed to prepare more bilingual and bicultural nurses and relieve the nursing shortage.
You can make a contribution to the nursing scholarship endowment fund at Chemeketa Community College to help to ensure a talented pool of well-trained healthcare workers in the future.
