MEET CAROLYN LASH:
Chief Quality Officer/Ethics & Compliance Officer
Carolyn was born in Frankfurt Germany, but moved to California as a baby and spent all but one year of her life there until moving to Oregon in 2008 and falling in love with the McMinnville area. She loves the weather and ability to experience 4 seasons, the green and colorful plants, and the part about living in wine country isn’t too shabby either. In her spare time she loves to read, and play games on her iPad.
Carolyn says that she “works at Willamette because of the people and culture.” She has been a part of health care in many different roles but has “Never worked with such a collaborative group of people who work to find the best solution and care about providing the best care to the patient. We truly live the mission statement of “You matter. Amazing Care Everytime.”
As the quality/ethics & compliance officer, her job is to assure that while the hospital staff provides the best patient care possible, that WVMC meets all the regulations, standards and laws in providing that care. She often refers to her years of nursing training in her job everyday and enjoys being able to impact patient care by working to improve processes for all patients.
“I am proud to be a part of the team of people at Willamette who push to do better every day. I can’t imagine working with a better group of medical and hospital staff.”- Carolyn Lash
